Saturday Afternoon

Hill Walk

Capacity: 50

As you’re coming such a long way, why not make the most of it and take in some of Scotland’s stunning natural landscape first hand? We’re hoping to offer at least two levels of walk, depending on interest, and you may even get the chance to ‘bag a Munro’ (which i’m reliably informed is the technical term). Requires the hiking equipment you’d expect, and you will be required to sign a disclaimer just in case. The haggis that live in the hills can get a bit violent if startled.

Mills Observatory - Costs £1.00 extra

Capacity: 20

Calling stargazers…Mills Observatory is the UK’s only full time working public observatory, and boasts a main telescope built in 1871 and older than the observatory. Our trip will include a short talk and planetarium show, as well as the displays, a look at the telescopes and maybe a little peek through one if it gets dark early enough.

Pub Golf (18 Holes)

Capacity: 25

As per tradition, here it is….with a twist. ‘Pub Golf’, an appropriate favourite of the St Andrews crowd, will be the format for the pub crawl at this rally, with 9 or 18 ‘holes’ depending on your stamina! Hosted by Next-Pub-Jen, it should be a good one.
This is the eighteen hole version
The drinks on this round are fixed due to the time available.

Pub Golf (9 Holes)

Capacity: 50

As per tradition, here it is….with a twist. ‘Pub Golf’, an appropriate favourite of the St Andrews crowd, will be the format for the pub crawl at this rally, with 9 or 18 ‘holes’ depending on your stamina! Hosted by Next-Pub-Jen's Brother, it should be a good one.

Sensations Science Centre - Costs £2.50 extra

Capacity: 30

Sensations is essentially a science museum – with the twist that you don’t just get to look, you can touch too. It has dozens of interactive displays to teach visitors some science in a fun way, or in our case just to have a bit of a play reinforcing it. Comes as a highly recommended family attraction, so if you’re not seriously in touch with your inner child this probably isn’t the thing for you. If, on the other hand you’re a fan of gadgets and gizmos that move and make noise, and like getting messy just for the hell of it – be my guest!

Shopping

Capacity: 50

If there’s one thing Dundee has, it’s good shopping. In the city centre there’s the Overgate, (a big shopping centre with all your major high street chains), and various other small centres scattered in several shopping streets. Just a few minutes walk away is City Quay Outlet Centre, which is exactly what it says on the tin.

St Andrews Tourist Attractions

Capacity: 50

It’s the home of golf, but St Andrews has much more to offer than just the Old Course – castle, cathedral, botanical garden, aquarium, beaches, some quaint little shops and the British Golfing Museum, for example. You’ll get dropped off in town with a map and are free to decide how you want to amuse yourself for the afternoon.
